Ethoxylated Lanolin

Ethoxylated lanolin is a surfactant and belongs to a class of nonionic surfactants. It is usually produced by reacting lanolin etherate with ethylene oxide (EO).
The main structure of Ethoxylated lanolin is the repetition of lanolin ether groups and oxyethylene units. This structure makes it hydrophobic and hydrophilic at the same time, giving it good emulsifying properties between water and oil.
Due to the presence of oxyethylene units, Ethoxylated lanolin exhibits excellent surfactant properties and can reduce surface tension between water and oil, helping to form stable emulsions.
Due to its superior emulsifying properties, Ethoxylated lanolin is often used as an emulsifier, dispersant, and wetting agent. It is widely used in many fields, such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, textiles, etc.
